Where I Am, and Where I Want To Go
An element is
a substance that cannot be broken down into simpler chemical substances. There
are about 90 naturally occurring elements known on Earth. Using technology,
scientists have been able to create nearly 30 additional elements that do not
occur in nature. Today, chemistry recognizes 118 elements—some of which were
created an atom at a time.

What I know about can be summarized here, (libretexts.org) and here, (Valley City State University). Where I want to go is deeper into atom structure, (UC Davis).

I like the concept map showing all the different topics you can teach students. I also really enjoyed the video!
ReplyDeleteLooking at the link concerning atomic structure, I love how probability comes into play and how it is visualized using color. This is a great way to see chemistry and math merge together.
ReplyDeleteNice concept map, it is easy to see in it how elements have to be with everything around us. I like the video.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed Blog #2 especially the video. I thought it was cute.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
